Critics And Reviews Of The Movie: DA 5 BLOODS

Associated Press (Jocelyn Noveck) (13 November 2020)

Simply a stunning and super performance of all the cast. This is the right movie for the right time, especially in this pandemic, you will indeed spend a wonderful time while watching this movie.

Independent (UK) (Clarisse Loughrey) (11 August 2020)

Da 5 Bloods is packed with lots of ideas, passions, and thoughts that, at times, it gives me a feeling of drowning in the characters.

Baltimore Magazine (Max Weiss) (19 June 2020)

Well, it is the best way to recall the historical injustice with the help of this bold entertainment. That’s absolutely what the great American director Spike Lee put all the justice with this film: Da 5 Bloods.

The Age (Australia) (Jake Wilson) (17 June 2020)

This everything you can get in a film, packed with force, strength, fight, passion, and of course, different ideas to accomplish the mission.

London Evening Standard (Charlotte O’Sullivan) (16 June 2020)

Da 5 Bloods is one of my favorite movies, and that’s how I spent my lockdown while watching the movie, literally every weekend.

ReelViews (James Berardinelli) (15 June 2020)

Is Lee addressing the choir? Maybe but those not previously in the cage who give the movie a chance may notice that the stuff Lee is saying is complicated to disagree with unless of your creed, race, or color.

Salon.com (Melanie McFarland) (15 June 2020)

Such versatile actors were performing! I also like the concept of fight/battle Lee put in this film, loved the climax.

New Yorker (Richard Brody) (15 June 2020)

“Da 5 Bloods” plays two hours and thirty-4 minutes, but for me, it is not too long. On the opposite side, it feels bustling, compressed, and frenzied, including its rational and dramatic energy.

Entertainment Weekly (Marc Bernardin) (13 June 2020)

Lee’s newest film DA 5 BLOODS is a crackerjack drama, which was directed by a filmmaker who lives in total control and who always put new ideas to make the film successful and box-office hit.

The New Republic (Josephine Livingstone) (12 June 2020)

DA 5 BLOODS a kind of study within close masculine relationships, especially black ones, and also the way the squad’s bonds are used in the name of war.

FilmWeek (KPCC – NPR Los Angeles) (Claudia Puig) (12 June 2020)

Spike Lee, you did it, man!

New Yorker (Anthony Lane) (12 June 2020)

Love the movie, every scene, dramatic fights, emotional closer among the squad, and those graphic scenes, just brilliant.

Wall Street Journal (Joe Morgenstern) (11 June 2020)

Never watched a movie like this that is packed with lots of thrillers and emotional scenes.

New York Post (Johnny Oleksinski) (10 June 2020)

Spike Lee’s latest Netflix drama, “Da 5 Bloods,” is the best thing that happens in this lockdown.

Audience Reviews Of The Movie: DA 5 BLOODS

Nathan W

Awesome; just another hit Hollywood flick; so real and full of entertainment.

Dante C

A kind of perfect movie for me, though the number of unexpected deaths that happened didn’t specifically need to happen.

Rafa D

This movie experiences a severe need for editing. I’m not too fond of the overly lengthy hour of this movie.

Antony J

This movie is getting all my attention. Lee is my favorite also, but still, I like the acting of Lindo and Majors as well.

Egor G

Spike Lee is still making films as he has always been. Dramatic, Angry, and sometimes funny and messy.

Chaz D

Same as Spike Lee’s other movies, this one also packed with potentially good scenes, but I feel like this film is eighty minutes too long.

Joe S

I don’t like the script at all, so many deaths without any particular reason.

Lucas S

I love the great moment when the spirit of the movie changes from time to time. The whole film is entirely unexpected, start with a look of handsome boys, on the other hand, bloody shooting all the way.

Antonio I

A kind of slow movie for me, but the good part is that it has made with its original script.

Addison L

Another hit film by Spike, I love it, man, just love the action, fights, emotions, the closer relation between the squad, all these things are amazing.

Johanna M

As probably this is the first movie that reveals the African American experience felt in the Vietnam War, it is an impactful and groundbreaking film that shares a powerful message that Black Lives Matter.

Sally E

Lindo is the show stopper of the film. Just love the movie and all the cast, of course.

William K

The real adventure people can feel while watching this movie. The 2020 year is doing great now.

Paul A

No more doubts at all. Lee is the best director, that’s all.

Trace V

This is good to see someone expressing lively expressions and shares deep thoughts among us.

Anthony B

So boring and too much action!

Robert X

Interesting story, a mix of historical scenes. This storyline is perfect and entertained, as well.

Monica H

I tip my hat to all the cast and crew in the film.

Ted V

This is an attention grabber movie; you will never drop your eyes off from the movie till the end.

Micheal K

Well, it didn’t put up with my expectations—too much lengthy movie with extra and unnecessary scenes.

Carl E

Lindo and Jonathan were the biggest reason for me to watch this film. Lee and other producers are also good.

Tammy S

Overall it is a good movie, but it was usually all over the plan. Spike Lee needs to put more concrete and less turbulent.

Jayden C

I like the way it starts, but I don’t like the end at all. Something is wrong with the ending, or maybe something is missing.
