When Nyles discovered that Misty is cheating on him, she is about to have a love relationship when Nyles is unexpectedly shot in the shoulder through an arrow by Roy, an older man.

Injured, he drags himself toward a strange amber shine in a nearby hole, reminding Sarah not to follow. Though, Sarah is more curious and frustrated sucked inside a spiral in the cave.

Sarah suddenly wakes up, on the same date of November 9, again. After she faces Nyles, he tells that she has actually being stuck in the same time loop as Nyles. Though Sarah unsuccessfully tries many rescue methods, like driving back to the hometown where she lived or choose the other option, suicide.

Sarah and Nyles spend many dates together; frequently, they found themselves while relaxing in the pool of a close home whose residents are off on holidays. Nyles explains that Roy is a family man and lives near Irvine, with whom Nyles also stuck in the time loop.

After that, they saw a kind of flashback in which Nyles and Roy meet, do drugs, and party, which Nyles and Roy get from Trevor; Roy hopes that the time would never turn to be ended and a drunk Nyles presents him to the cave.

Roy, ignore the moment of the time loop, moves in. Nyles reveals to Sarah that Roy accuses him of being stuck in the time loop and hardly comes to Palm Springs to shoot Nyles so that he can take his revenge.

After they suffered from many more loops, Sarah and Nyles camp out while standing in the desert, and they found themselves fantasize about dinosaurs and ultimately have sex. The same next day, it is shown that Sarah is in Abe’sroom after spending some nights on November 8 with him, whereas he warns her to get out before she’s seen.

Sarah feels a kind of guilt, and that’s why she decided not to talk to Nyles about the previous night, showing that everything they perform is meaningless. Therefore, Sarah and Nyles are picked over by a police officer, that was a ROY.

Sarah eventually runs towards Roy in his police car, and when they argue, Nyles except that he did sex with Sarah several times before she joined the time loop. A troubled Sarah goes in front of an approaching truck, killing herself, and the day restarted again.

At the same time, looping things repeated several times, later on, Sarah visits the wedding, delivers a heartfelt speech for the couple Tala, gets a phone call, and runs to the cave with grenades. While she is alone and drinking calmly, Nyles decides to leave with her and hurries to the cave, pretending he wants to die with her rather than spend the time loop moment again.

Sarah reacts to his feelings, and they love while she touches the detonator. In the final scene, Sarah and Nyles are lounging, once again, in the vacant pool, and the owner of the house suddenly shows up in front of them. The house owner reveals out the date, which is November 10, and their plan worked.

In the climax scene, Roy comes towards Nyles at the wedding, while he asked Sarah’s plan by which they manage to escape the loop. When Nyles failed to recognize Roy, Roy understands that their plan really has worked, and he smiles.

Critics And Reviews Of The Movie: Palm Springs

Sydney Morning Herald (Brad Newsome) 19 November 2020

A bit more knowledge and more of a fool than typical, Samberg is perfect, and I must say that Milioti brings a breath-taking blend of vulnerability, unexpectedly, and steel.

Sydney Morning Herald (Paul Byrnes) 19 November 2020

Palm Springs uses the idea of a jazz player that would be treated the music changes of a model – around to poke about in and get a new expression. Max did an excellent job of shaking a hand with Andy to bring it out such a powerful script.

FilmWeek (KPCC – NPR Los Angeles) (Claudia Puig) 22 July 2020

It passes at what it’s attempting to do: an innovative new shot on Groundhog Day. The lead performances by Andy Samberg and Christine Milioti could be the biggest reason for the film’s success.

Baltimore Magazine (Max Weiss) 17 July 2020

I might not be telling you how it ends, but I want to say to you that Samberg and Milioti are charming together.

ReelViews (James Berardinelli) 16 July 2020

Palm Springs is an utterly romantic flight-of-fancy that would have packed with enough salt to dodging becoming too sweet and a story that shows there’s a place for more than one taste of the Groundhog Day premise.

Chicago Sun-Times (Richard Roeper) 16 July 2020

One of the best romantic films in this pandemic year you can watch. The film can give you hope, and you can indeed recall all your lovely moments with your “ex” if you had one.

Chicago Reader (Brianna Wellen) 13 July 2020

[Palm Springs] calmly blends comedy, romance, heart-wrenching emotions, and fictional science drama.

New Yorker (Anthony Lane) 12 July 2020

What a vivid image of the purgatorial: a Sahara of vast immortality, covered with fantastic acting and versatile performances.

Newsday (Rafer Guzman) 12 July 2020

A kind of romantic drama and desperate-to-be-“dark” filled comedy that will surely blow off your mind.

The Atlantic (David Sims) 11 July 2020

Palm Springs is a movie packed with the reality of emotional feelings between two strangers who once meet up and fall in love forever. (Brian Lowry) 10 July 2020

The movie gives you the real feel of derivative nearly to the point of madness. And with the “again and again” changes in the form of a time loop, it is just amazing.

Boston Globe (Ty Burr) 9 July 2020

“Palm Springs” is my favorite movie as I am fond of romantic movies, and this one just grabs all my attention. (Sheila O’Malley) 8 July 2020

Andy Siara and Max, the unique off-screen bonding that creates such a masterpiece together.

Los Angeles Times (Justin Chang) 7 July 2020

You may know where the movie’s story is going ahead, and you do not mind in the end.

Observer (Oliver Jones) 7 July 2020

Finding the perfect person in your real life is as difficult as we can see in this movie’s looping moments. I love the ending somehow.

Entertainment Weekly (Leah Greenblatt) 7 July 2020

Both leading characters Nyles and Sarah, make the most charming couple in the industry.

TheWrap (Steve Pond) 7 July 2020

It is perfect for me. I love the beginning and the ending as well. I can see the movie again, without any disappointment.

Wall Street Journal (John Anderson) 6 July 2020

Worry not. Nyles and Sarah are stuck in a time loop, but Andy Siara, the famous screenwriter, does creative stuff with their vast staycation.

TIME Magazine (Stephanie Zacharek) 6 July 2020

The movie is so charming on its bases that it never seems forced or preachy.

Rolling Stone (Peter Travers) 6 July 2020

It is so perfect romantic comedy film near me. Some intimate sex moments gave you the real feeling of love and having a relationship with a stranger.

New York Post (Johnny Oleksinski) 6 July 2020

It’s simple to notice why Hulu and Neon left all that cash on it. The movie Palm Springs is the stuff of streams.

San Francisco Chronicle (Mick LaSalle) 6 July 2020

Ultimately, the standard of “Palm Springs” isn’t the ability or depth of its basis but rather how perfectly it fulfills that promise. Andy and Milioti are making the best on-screen couple.

One of its essential joys occurs when dexterously it floats past many necessary measures to get to the less-explored area.

The movie, directed by Max Barbakow, including written by Andy Siara, much quickly shows its basis, but there’s yet pleasure in enduring how they made the kitty out of the bag.

“Palm Springs” is looking like the time-loop movies like “Zombieland,” where the zombies are coming back again and again after you shot them various times.

The movie continually seems on the edge of burning off longer than a super active 90-minute drama can chew, and the smooth force of the storytelling won’t be able to deliver the story moment to slow down.
